PIANIST VLADIMIR PETROV: FROM RUSSIA TO MEXICO
US debut of Russian-born pianist, resident of San Luís Potosí, Mexico since the age of 3, and 2018 Gold Prize Winner of the Vigo International Piano Competition (Spain), Petrov has performed at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, in the Bolshoi Theatre, the Mariinsky Theatre, the Salle Cortot in Paris, as well as Spain, Holland, Belarusia, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Romania, and Switzerland. Petrov will perform works by Villa-Lobos, Ginastera, as well as Prokofiev, Rachmaninov, Ravel, and others.

Vocalists Anna Tonna and Conchi Moyano join pianist Max Lifchitz for an intimate evening featuring songs inspired by poetry of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz (1648-95, Mexico) and Saint Teresa of Avila (1515-1582, Spain), by Joaquin Rodrigo, Carlos Surinach, Federic Mompou, Manuel de Sumaya, Eduardo Hernandez Moncada and Max Lifchitz. World premiere by Igor Escudero
