To the editor: On Sept. 11, 2001, New York City police, fire personnel, doctors, nurses, doctors, social workers, and hundreds of civil servants rushed to that scene of devastation and served in … more
To the editor: Many may have thought Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ “Let me outdo Trump” strategy was just an easy way to get votes. They may have been partially right. more
To the editor: (re: “Disappointed, but still support,” Aug. 17) I am writing to thank our U.S. Representative, Ritchie Torres, for his letter in The Riverdale Press reiterating his opposition to the current Israeli government’s attempt to eliminate the independence of the country’s judiciary — an act that would essentially end Israel’s democracy. more

To the editor: Citizens have a right to know who they’re dealing with, whether it be in government or private enterprise.  more
To the editor: (re: “We do deserve better storefronts,” July 27) I am totally in agreement with Marcia Yerman’s recent letter. I have lived in this area since the early ‘70s, and back then, we had so many wonderful stores. It’s just such a shame now to see so many empty storefronts on Johnson Avenue and West 235th Street. more
