Crack down on MTA drivers

Failing to comply with a duly established traffic stop sign, which resulted in the death of a crossing pedestrian is proscribed by state law, to wit, as criminal negligent homicide.

Indeed, a previous New York University study demonstrated that city bus operators have been the most numerous violators of steady “red signals.” Therefore, local prosecution under these warranted circumstances might help curb the otherwise casual disregard for the city and state traffic safety regulations.
