The Riverdale Press story on Lisa Hofflich expertly detailed why she is the most qualified person to represent the new state senate district currently represented by Aliessandra Biaggi.

I want to add one more credential: The most ethics-driven candidate.

At a time when Albany has seen multiple statewide officials resign in less than a year, we need leaders like Lisa who will restore voters’ faith in the state’s ability to get things done. Lisa has proven throughout her career that an open, effective and results-driven government is possible.

I saw that over the time she worked in the Assembly, where Lisa spearheaded the passage of more than two dozen bills with a focus on advancing human rights. She was essential to the 15-bill power, ethics and transparency package I introduced in 2016, which sought to reform how things are done in Albany.

Ultimately that package was blocked by a group of breakaway Democrats, many of whom are now out of office. But Lisa has not given up on this fight.

I am proud to endorse Lisa Hofflich, because she is the exact kind of leader New Yorkers need in this moment to restore public trust.
