For years, a dilapidated house, home to raccoons, rats and other vermin stood at this location, engendering strong protest from its neighbors and earning it an “Eyesore of the Week” designation. In late June the building was demolished by its new owners, Blackstone 238, LLC.

Neighbors have been complaining about what appears to be an abandoned home on West 238th Street and Blackstone Avenue. It is surrounded by plywood behind which an overgrown lawn and construction materials have been left untended.
