To the editor: In 2021, during the height of the lockdowns, I wrote a letter to this paper calling on state Sen. Alessandra Biaggi to revoke Andrew Cuomo’s emergency powers regarding COVID-19. I stated in that letter that the lockdowns were leading to the collapse of New York City, and that this was a policy that would have huge consequences for the city going forward. more
To the editor: (re: “Riverdale Avenue lane narrowing’s final act,” Sept. 22) In a miraculous two-and-a-half weeks, Riverdale Avenue between West 254th and West 263rd streets has been transformed from a four-lane (two-way) street, to a one-lane with two five-foot wide bicycle lanes and turning lanes — completely stripped and resurfaced in record time. more

To the editor: (re: “We will never forget,” Sept. 15) Your recent edition had a front page photo of the 9/11 commemoration at Endor Community Garden. The photo showed three people, but your caption identified only two of the individuals. I’m sure that the two people being political was just a coincidence. more
