Posted

Bronx borough president Vanessa Gibson celebrated the first day of Black history month by honoring seven Black-owned businesses from Kingsbridge/Riverdale.

She met with the owners of the small businesses at the Kingsbridge Riverdale Van Cortlandt Development Corp. and gave them proclamations for their efforts.

Those businesses include Jerry’s Barbershop, Kinsadelic Physical Therapy, The Gummybear Foundation, One Yoga For All, Clarity and Wellness, Lloyd’s Carrot Cake and Ground Up Coffee Club.

The 4Bronx Project, a not-for-profit, organized the Black history month event in conjunction with KRVC. As part of the project, The 4Bronx Project working with Coin Star Theory Production and Steve Padernacht of the Padernacht Real Estate firm have produced a short video that is on their YouTube channel.
