To the editor:
In the upcoming 2022 elections, Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz is running for re-election for his umpteenth term of office. Running to unseat him is a “perennial” candidate, George Diaz — a progressive Democrat — and Jessica Altagracia Woolford, a true progressive’s Democrat.
Any real progressives here in the Northwest Bronx see a problem? There’s another Dinowitz looking to build a dynasty: “Junior,” Eric Dinowitz, the anointed city councilman.
Why don’t progressives stop shooting themselves in the foot and unite behind a single candidate per election? There’s always Junior’s seat to vie for in the next round.
Am I missing something, aside from personal ego?
